CASE STUDY
Logistics Operating Model
Supply Chain Digital Transformation
The Challenge
During 2025, the UK Joint Forces uncovered opportunities to more rapidly deploy and sustain military forces. Opportunity areas included strategic lift capacity, infrastructure utilisation at ports and airfields, integrating logistics systems across Army, Navy, and RAF, maximising transport routes, and creating surge resilience for just-in-time supply chains. To capitalise on these opportunities, analogue processes would need to be modernised to free trained logistics personnel, such as movement planners, to conduct modern joint operations at pace.

The Squarcle Solution
Working closely with the client, Squarcle deployed a cross-functional team to quantify these operational constraints.
The team designed a new logistics operating model focused on supply chain planning, global network optimisation, cost-to-deliver analysis, and supply chain execution. In parallel, Squarcle’s digital team introduced a suite of Azure-based digital tools, enabling the transition from legacy fax and paper-based workflows to a fully integrated supply chain control tower.
