Supply chain
Support to Spares Deployment
The Challenge
Mobilise and prepare this Defence Prime's supply chain to Eastern Poland in support of the delivery of vehicle spares for 130+ platforms from 10 different ranges, that have been gifted to Ukraine by the British government. Historically the supply chain had been designed to work on re-fit and rehabilitation projects within the UK. Deploying this supply chain consisting of a range of 50,000 SKUs with limited real estate required meticulous planning and preparation.

The Squarcle Solution
Squarcle supported a full Supply Chain estimate to understand the current situation, the requirement, the future state, and developed a plan to mobilise and execute.
Squarcle developed a bespoke Supply Chain Model to underpin the deployable Logistics Information System. We also strengthened capability on the “far bank” by embedding a Squarcle consultant as a forward-deployed Supply Chain Manager within the client's deployed team.
The Results
- A new team created to manage the end-to-end processes including inventory management, movement, sourcing, purchasing and contract management of spares and setting up two new warehouses in the UK and Poland.
- Creation of a bespoke future state value chain, fusing together people, processes, system and the physical elements of the supply chain.
- Risks identified and mitigated to ensure successful delivery of IOC and FOC.
