Critical Defence Infrastructure PROGRAMME
Supply Chain Control Tower
The Challenge
This Defence Client managing a critical aspect of the MOD's infrastructure requested expert guidance on optimising its planning and execution infrastructure, with the goal to enhance supply chain resilience and decision-making capabilities. A current state assessment (that included technologies, data, processes and policies) identified a need to improve supply chain visibility and stakeholder collaboration, while transitioning from descriptive 'alpha' tools to predictive solutions, that leverage more cutting-edge technologies like advanced analytics, machine learning, and seamless data integration.

Scalable Control Tower Solution

The Squarcle Solution
- Squarcle utilised a structured approach, that included stakeholder workshops and maturity matrix frameworks, to baseline current capabilities and collaborate with stakeholders to define a future state vision for a Defence Fuels Control Tower, aligned with Client's strategic goals and policies.
- Squarcle developed a roadmap for incremental development, that captured organisation, people, process, technology and data requirements, aimed at delivering a wider Control Tower capability that empowers the Client with data-driven insights and evidence-based decision-making support.
- Squarcle developed a scalable Control Tower tool, that includes advanced analytics and data science concepts, to provide more supply chain visibility and insights, meaningful metrics and targets, and what-if analysis to analyse supply chain resilience and other opportunities.
The Results
- Current and future state assessment reports for 3 different technologies (cost modelling, resilience modelling and control tower).
- Scalable Control Tower capability, on an advanced analytics platform, including layered metrics and interactive what-if modules.
